Cache
A box or container that contains, at the very least, a logbook.

CITO
Cache In Trash Out - all serious geocache care about the environment and when going caching.... cache in and pick up trash on the way out.

DNF

EarthCache
EarthCaches are a type of geocache that are listed on geocaching.com. They use additional guidelines when developed so that they provide a unique experience - a learning experience about Earth science! to learn more go to earthcahce.org

FTF
First To Find

Geocaching
an outdoor sporting activity in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world.

Ground Zero - Where your cache should be located

LNTN
Left Nothing, Took Nothing

Muggles
non-geocaching people

1/2 muggles
non-geocaching children

Muggled
A cache that has been found by a non-geocaching person and disturbed, moved or destroyed.

PAF
Phone a friend (to help you find a cache)

Signature Item or SWAG
A piece of SWAG unique to a geocacher (mine is a believe glass frig magnet that I craft)

SL
Signed Log

Smiley
A cache find. Refers to the "smiley-face" icon attached to "Found It" logs on some listing sites

Spoiler
A spoiler gives away details of a cache or cache location and may ruin the experience for others.

SWAG
Stuff We All Get - the items in a geocache

TFTC
Thanks For The Cache

Trackable
a geocoin, cache buddy, travel bugs.  They are NOT SWAG.  They are only to move from one cache to another.  They belong to a geocacher than released it "into the wilds".  Never keep a trackable as SWAG.
